Office 2000

I just purchased a new computer and transferred all of my
data files from my old hard drive. I installed Office
2000 on my new computer (I had Office 2000 on my old
computer), but it is not recognizing any of my old data.
My operating system is Windows XP.

I am not very computer literate as this question most
certainly implies.

Probably what is happening is that your new installation can't find the
locastion of the douments. If you still have your old computer find where
the documents are located and put them in the same location on the new
computer. Office should find them with no problem.
