Office 2003 Student Edition

Just purchased this for my son's new computer and wanted
to install it on my daughter's 2 year old system. Got back
a message that the system -- Windows ME - won't support
it. This seems incredibly wrong to me that I should need a
new operating system (XP) for a system that's only 3 years
old. Any ideas, short of upgrading to XP?

Oh dear, another eejit who's completely incapable, or cannot be bothered, to
read the system requirements. it *CLEARLY* states that it *requires*
"Windows 2009 SP3 (or later), Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server".

So, no, you have no choice but to upgrade your daughter's system to XP - or
purchase a copy of Office XP STE, which is the last version that will run
under a 9x-based OS.
