Office 2003 & Word

Greetings all!,

I am using Office 2003 and have two documents open in Word. Instead of the
nice small menus I have large ones with the document title, and any other
menu selected. Is there a way to make these smaller and still be able to
access the menu? These take up 6 inches of vertical screen space.

Do you have Large Icons selected (Tools | Customize | Options)? That's the
only way I can imagine that a few toolbars would take up six inches. I have
the default title bar, menu bar, Standard and Formatting toolbars, and
horizontal ruler displayed in every document, and they require only 1.5" on
a 17" monitor.
