Office Development Toolkit?

Hi,

I'm trying to develop a plugin for Microsoft Word for Mac OS X. The
plugin should fetch a word over which the mouse is placed. Based on
this word I need to do a popup.

I have successfully done this for Windows platform by using the
libraries found in the Office Development toolkit. Is there an
equivalent toolkit for Mac.

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi

I took a peek in the Office object library but could not find anything
dealing with mouse-overs being able to fetch the text under the mouse.

To the best of my knowledge there is no office developer kit for the Mac
version of Office. If you wish that there were one, please let Microsoft
know what it should contain by telling them here:
http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp
Suggestions sent to that URL are logged and tracked. The more requests, the
more likely a feature will be created.

There's a very outside chance that you could simply copy the libraries to a
Mac and then in the visual basic editor use Tools>References to let Word
know about them. It doesn't cost anything to try. If it works, please be
sure to post a follow-up message about what libraries you used.
