Office install prompt every time programs are opened

I recently reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled XP Pro. I reinstalled
Office 2000 and now every time I open an Office program it prompts an
installation dialog box and asks me to wait while it configures Office.

I followed the discussion thread ("Installation prompts long after install")
below that pointed me to running the language tool in the Office Tool Kit
download. This did not work for me.

Any help?

I have now followed all three of the suggested solutions. The second
solution, to edit the registry, resulted in a prompt for my username, but
this did not solve the problem. The third solution was successful in
preventing the installation prompt ONLY for Access, but not for any other
Office program.

Do you know anything else I can try?
