Office Reinstallation

Im having trouble reinstalling and old office version 10.0 saved from hard
drive disk backups on to windows XP home addition, I coppied it over but
still didn't work. I think I need an old upgrade or fix for the old version
to work on the new version of Windows can you help? Please send an Email to

installation media, will not work.
When you install an app many entries are added to the registry, and various
files are copied to various locations, you cannot replicate this by copying
from hd.
You need origonal installation media. Office versions, other than OfficeXP
