OL2002 Sending "tasks" completed

At home system with dialup.

Why when I send one message with an attachment does the task status window
indicate two, then three, then four (up to 10 tasks) "completed"?

Thanks

How often do you check for new messages? Set it to a lower interval.

No, sorry let me explain more...

This is immediately after sending and receiving then creating one new
message with an attachment then sending again.
The progress bar starts out stating 1 of 1 "tasks" completed then 1 of 2, 1
of 3 and so on. Sometimes for one message it can get to 1 of 13 before it
completes.

And no it's not sending anything else, i.e, the machine is virus free...

Thanks

Every send/receive request creates a task. So does the automatic
send/receive requests. If one request isn't finished before the next one is
trigger it will be queued up.

Since you are on dial-up and send an e-mail with an attachment it could take
a while before the message is uploaded to the mailserver. It is very likely
that during this upload new (automitic) send/receive requests are being
created and are queued up in your list.

Thanks for the feedback but that's not the case either. No other messages
are waiting in or outbound. It's just another puzzling aspect of OL2002
