One Excel add-in idea, plus two non sequitor MS Software ideas...

M

Minneserenity

1. There seem to be several third party ones out there; however, they also
vary so greatly in price that one wonders if either the cheap ones are junk,
and/or, the most expensive are examples of blatant shameless price gouging.

Any chance of MS creating their own package for MS 2007? I'd feel more
confidence in MS than some unknown third party regardless of how great they
may claim their products are.

Data mining as well as neural, genetic, swarm, and chaos analysis are huge
in all fields of science, business, financial (trading and investing),
medical, and even sports betting. It seems self-evident that MS should at
least take a clower look at providing its own for its licensed software
customers. If it could simply be electronically purchased and downloaded like
any other MS download I'd be one of the first customers.

2. Another idea: There are absolutely no PC games on CD, that don't have to
be continually on-line, that accurately simulate reality, that can teach one
how one to invest or trade, by DOING, from actual downloaded stock and/or
technical data, say from Yahoo for free, for example. Make that Excel add-in
software, make it reasonably priced, and you'll monopolize that particular
niche of the gaming market. And ask yourself: rather than people racking up
virtual points on all other PC games that bear no relatioship to the real
world, wouldn't MS do the world a great service to give them an alternative
as to how to rack up "points" that really would?

3. Last idea: Generative art and fractal art licensed commercial software
for the purpose of creating and selling one's own generative and/or fractal
art creations. And no knowledge of computer programming code should be
necessary or needed. There's absolutely NOTHING out there that's even
remotely user friendly, with intuitive user interfaces, and that has the
capability of exporting its data into a spreadsheet for analysis,
modification and re-entering into the program for output modification, nor
for that matter, its graphic outputs into additional software for further
artistic tweaking and subsequent uploading and/or printing for sales thereof.
Make that, and based on my research of a market that to date has absolutely
nothing that even approaches that by half, and you'll monopolize the market
there as well.
