Opening 2002 file

Rob

I was having trouble opening a Publisher 2002 file in my
Publisher 2000 and went ahead an tried to have the file
saved as a 2000 file. The other computer, however,
wouldnt allow the file to be saved as a 2000. Is there a
possible error that could be fixed to allow Publisher to
change the format of the file?

Did it give any error messages or anything?

It only said that the file could not be saved.

How big is the 2002 file?
How much free space do you have on your boot (normally C:) drive?
Does your system use space allocation?

.
The file is about 2000 KB but the computer i was tryign
to save it on isnt my computer so I'm not sure how much
memory it has or whether it uses space allocation. I
dont believe, however, that there is a lack of memory.

Can you ZIP the file and email it to my reply address?
I didn't ask about *memory*, I asked about *disk space*. These are two
different things.

If you are using that garbage Norton Antivirus program, or you are trying to
save to a Network drive.

Publisher files must be opened and saved to the local hard drive.
