I have recently banked up my outlook for the past 3 months. Now I need to
open and when I go about doing so an error message appears and says I do not
have permission to open up the .pst files. Please Help me resolve this issue
Thanks your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Again, nothing to do with Office. Please respost in a group appropriate to
your operating system.

BZZZT! Actually it is a question about opening an archive.pst file that
gives the error that the OP posted.

To the OP, if you are trying to open the .pst file using Outlook File->Open
and you get that error, make sure the file is on your hard drive (not CD)
and that its properties do not say "Read Only."

Sorry, Milly, but he said he did not have the correct permissions. That is
an operating system, not an Office, issue.

Whatever, spin it the way you want, but your response was out of bounds.

It IS an Office issue when you are being denied access to an office file,
and the answer is to ensure that the Office file is on a read/write drive.
