Opening a Publisher doc without publisher

Is there a viewer/reader or way to look at Publisher 97
files, without installing Publisher?
I have been sent a series of files created in Publisher
97 and need to view them, wihout purchasing Publisher.

No viewer available. Your correspondent can send them as a PDF or you can retrieve
the text in Word by file, open, files of type, "recover text from any file" If you
want to retain the images that might be in the files, send the files to me and I will
extract the images for you.
Remove "my" to reply.
