Opening Mail Attachment

I'm running Win 2000 with Micorsoft Outlook. When I turn
off the "opening mail attachment" splash box by unchecking
it, it comes back the next time and this is just on .doc
documents. How do I turn it off permanently or at leas
for .doc?
