opening outlook

Has anyone out there any ideas? Sometimes when I try to
open outlook from any location it just 'hangs' on the
screen and takes ages to open. I dont have the original
discs as it came with the machine.

Try renaming outcmd.dat to outcmd.old. It will reset the Toolbar. The
default location is;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
