Org Chart shape order when using the wizard

When I create an Org Chart from an Excel spreadsheet, how come the shapes are
created in a random order and not the order in the spreadsheet?

The original design decision was to randomly place the shapes to improve
performance. The significance of the order of the names was overlooked.
