Out of Office Assistant, Exchange & PST Files

I am connected to the internet through Exchange (don't know which version).
I am running a fully up to date/patched Outlook 2003 on Win XP Pro. B/c of
severe mailbox size restrictions, i have my mail go through exchange to a pst
data file on my desktop. So, i have a .pst instead of an .ost.

Is there a way for me to use Out of Office Assistant without leaving my
computer on and OL 2003 open and running?

Thanks!
