outlook 2000 cannot open!!!!!

I have a windows98 and office 2000. recently, when I kick the outlook 2000 to open it, it just show the logo and seems openning. But in fact it was hang up. When I right kick outlook and enter the property, I also can change the email server name and the mailbox. I have tried to uninstall the offce and then reinstall it. it still fail.
I also ttied recover the windows98, it still fail. I have no idea about that, could anyone give me advise??
