Outlook 2000

I have a Windows '98 SE machine with Outlook 2000 which
hangs whenever you try to open any email. I tried to
uninstall Outlook and re-install it, I tried to repair it,
I tried everything. I deleted the accounts and re-added
them. Nothing works. Any thoughts on what to try next
(short of upgrading to Outlook XP)?
