Outlook 2002

[PDC]

Two issues:
1) I have outlook 2002 configured to receive my email
when I open the program. I have tried every fix,
including creating new send/receive groups, but nothing
has worked.
2) I also have outlook 2002 configured to empty my trash
when I exit the program. Sometimes it works, sometimes
it doesn't.
Any help with either or both of these issues would be
most appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure about the second one, but for the first -- have you configured a
send/receive interval, say for every 10 minutes? Outlook should do a
send/receive at startup if there is a regular send/receive interval defined.
