Outlook 2003 - Archiving

Please can someone help me before I go crazy!

I'm trying to Archive my emails (which I have done many times in the past)
but instead of moving my items, it's copying them. Which is really helpful.
All of my folders are set to archive to a .pst file on my c:\ drive and they
are set to Move items to the folder on my c:\ drive that are older than 6
months old.

But, like I say, it's copying them rather than moving them.

Can anyone think of a reason why this may be happening?

Thanks.

Did you set Outlook to delete items after they are archived?
Tools->Options->Other->Autoarchive.

Hi Milly

Thanks for your reply.

It's set to delete expired items under the During Archive section (Tools,
Options, Other, Autoarchive). I've not set it to permanently delete old items
as I don't want that - I just want it to move items older than 6 months old,
to an archive file on my hard disk. But, it just won't work!

Any other ideas?!
