Outlook 2003 email links

Outlook has recently begun to deny me use of links to the internet that are
in the email I'm receiving. I don't know if I ignorantly activated this
function or if its the result of an update, but I need to reverse it. I've
looked for a switch in Outlook preferences and options and in different
controls under the Control Panel but have not found it.
