Anyone know how to program Outlook 2003 to automatically
check for mail when Outlook starts? I've made Outlook my
default email program but I always need to manually click
Send/Receive when I open the program inorderto check for
new mail.

Jackie,

In the bottom right hand corner of the screen when you open outlook there is
an option that states WORK OFFLINE if you right click that option just
uncheck WORK OFFLINE.

Under your send/receive group settings, you need to set an interval for
Outlook to check your mail. this will force an automatic send/receive when
you start Outlook.

Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out

Thanks Milly, that did the trick. I had read that the
default procedure in Outlook 2003 was to check for mail at
startup but that didn't seem to happen. I set it for 60
minutes and it's working.
