I have a small business email account through Yahoo - It worked fine with the
old version I had on my computer- Problem is it downloads all the messages
from the server every time it checks for mail - I've been deleting all
morning and am afraid to try it again.

Does a mailbox polling end sucessfully? If not, Outlook won't mark messages
as downloaded so it downloads them again

If you watch the progress in a status window, does it end without showing an
error?

Are you using Outlook 2003 without SP2? This was a problem in Outlook 2003
