Steve needs help

I use outlook 2007 on windows xp and an exchange server. My computer went bad
today and I had to buy a new computer that has vista home premium. I
installed outlook 2007 and I purchased a device that turns my old hard drive
into an external drive using a USB port. Since I use exchange server I don't
have a .PST file, instead a .OST file. How can I move my entire data base
(contacts, email, tasks, calendar, settings, etc.) from my external drive
(old drive) to my new vista outlook 2007?
Thank you.

It should all still be there next time you connect to the server. Just add
the account and connect.

thank you BillR. I was hoping to somehow open my old data in the new outlook
2007 so i didn't have to set up the settings and all. Before I try what you
suggested, is there a way to get my setting from the old installation of
outlook 2007 on my old external hard drive? thanks.

Settings as in?
You'll probably need to check with your Exchange admin regarding the
settings to connect to the Exchange Server. Some other Outlook settings can
be retrieved but are fairly trivial so I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you BillR. i contacted my exchanger server company and set up a new
mail account and reconnected to them. Everything downloaded and now i am just
going through and changing settings. I appreciate you help.
