Hello all,
I have a problem with archive files (.pst): if I copy the archive from the
local or network drive to a CD and then try to open, I get "you do not have
sufficent permissions on the file" error and I cannot open the archive. I
tried to reset permissions on the file before I've burned it to a CD, no
luck. Does anybody know a workaround this?

Thanks

Copy it to a hard-disk and remove the read-only attribute.

There's gotta be a better solution than copy the file every single time on
the HDD. I would like to be able to open from CD.

CDs are read only. You have to be able to read/write to a .pst to use it.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, MAX asked:

I use compact flash cards to back-up my .pst archives (and other important
stuff), more reliable than magnetic disks, quicker than CD's, reasonably
cheap....
