Outlook / exchange 5.5

I am running exchange 5.5 and I have all versions of outlook running on the
desktops of our end users. the problem I have ran into it a hand full of
users have to click on there Send/receive button to get any new emails. The
server is fine and up to date, the pcs are up to date on fixes as well.
Anyone seen this before?
