Outlook express exporting messages from another disc

Teri813

I backed up my e-mail messages on an external drive, and now I can't open the
messages on my desktop. I dragged the messages from the external drive onto
my Outlook Express file by going to
c:\documentsandsettings\TeriErickson\Localsettings\applicationdata]identies.
The moved files shows up when I go to My Computer and look in the files under
Outlook Express, but when I actually open OutlookExpress, the file isn't
there. Do you know how I can open them? thanks in advance,
Teri
