Outlook Express vs Outlook

Danny

Before and against my better judgement, I move my mail client from OE to
Outlook 2003 professional, what poblems can I expect to encounter that I
don't have now? I will be accessing as now, two comcast pop accounts and one
gmail which is also a pop account. What I'm really after is the + daisy chain
for removing an addy when sending to contact groups that Outlook has. I
would still be using hotmail, but MS really put the pressure on using hotmail
with OE some time ago and by the time they relinquished to those who were
grandfathered in, I was gone.

I don't really get the question here. What more problems you could encouter
now that you have switched to Outlook? Wow, that all depends on how you use
your computer, how skilled you are and when you consider things to be a
problem.

I don't get your remark about Microsoft forcing you to use Hotmail with OE
either. In what way do you feel they are forcing you?

Roady,
Please go back and read each word very carefully although I will clarify the
hotmail thing. For instance if you get a new hotmail account now, MS will not
let you access it through OE at all, so now if you've had any experience on
how Outlook may work in accessing pop mailboxs, I would appreciate it.

I currently use several different email accounts in Outlook with No problems. I use gmail as well as comcast. Comcast is my primary email account. As far as hotmail, you would not be able to use that unless you pay a premium fee to MS. I hope that helps.

Stick to one thread, please. You and I are already dicussing this in your
original thread.

That's another thing, I couldn't figure out how to delete my mistake of
posting the same thing twice. If you forget the title and can't find your
post, there doesn't seem to be any tab that brinds up all your participating
forums so you can quickly go there and review them.

Thanks Jason,
I'm see that you didn't have any problem understanding what I was trying to
say and you also use the same accounts as I do, so I guess I'm ready to go
setup and try Outlook again. If it doesn't work out for me, I'll let you
know. As far as Hotmail goes, I gave up on it a long time ago when they
started messing with me in OE.

Use a real newsreader. The web interface is poor.

Danny

Oh Boy, Now you're going to have to explain how that works since I'm not
familiar with it at all.

Outlook Express, Forté Agent, XNews, are all newsreaders, that is, NNTP
clients. Try clicking this:

I'm back with another question and did I have a time locating my forum.
Anyway Outlook is working out great for me so far, but I haven't yet figured
out how to make the Bcc send line appear at all times without having to use
the address book to bring it up. I have auto complete working fairly well and
use the Bcc field constantly.

Open a compose window and click View. Check Bcc Field.

That's only true if Outlook is your editor, I'm using Word, but I did find
it. you simply click the button to the right of Options and select Bcc. I'm
not sure which is the best so I will be trying the Outlook editor also.
Thanks anyway though, you did make me dig for the answer.
