outlook express?

probably not the right area, but cant find one solely for outlook express.

my problem: using outlook exp 6, when i send email from my default pop3
account, i have a record of it in my sent folder. however, when logged on as
the same user, if I send an email from a secondary non-default account(i.e.
changing the "from" to another pop3 account that i have set up in my accounts
folder, there is no copy saved in my sent folder. the message is sent, but
there is no record of it.

is this typical, is there a workaround (besides bcc to the inbox)?
does outlook do the same thing?

Aloha ddd22,

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002, 2003 & 2007
from the Office
family for PCs. For Outlook Express [OE] support try posting in one of these
newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com. That's MS's public news server that's the
source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups.

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:

As you've been informed, this group is for Outlook, not OE. As long as
you're here, this article may or may not help:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/184059/en-us
Sent messages may not be saved in the Sent Items folder in Outlook Express

One other thing I might add is that, if your second account is an IMAP
account, you have the option of storing/using the Sent Items folder on the
IMAP server.
