Outlook Locks Up

I am running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Tablet. I have received an email that
has locked up my Outlook. The only way I can stop it from attempting to load
the email is to ctl/alt/del and stop the process.

I have attempted to run scanpst.exe but when it gets about 18% complete it
gives an error that tells me to run ScanDisk. However, there is not ScanDisk
on my system.

Any suggestion will be deeply appreciated.

To run Scandisk right click the drive you want to check-> Properties-> tab
Tools-> Error-Checking
