It doesn't close, it minimizes to the Notification Area of the System Tray
(near the clock at the right end). RIght-click the Outlook icon in the tray
and uncheck "Hide When Minimized".
How do you know it closes?
Is the Outlook icon not hidden with your other start icons? (rt of task bar)
In Task Manager>Running Processess is Outlook.exe listed?
