Outlook, Passport, Attachments = Crashing

[Not to be understanding]

I never had this problem before today, but when I tried to attach a file to
an outgoing message in outlook, a window asking me to sign on to MSN passport
popped up. It froze my computer and since then, I've had problems with
opening Outlook and, even when I do, I cannot attach files. Help!
