Outlook.pst files

Dean

I thought my Outlook data was corrupted so it was suggested that I delete the
Outlook.pst file, uninstall Outlook, and then re-install Outlook. Which I
did. When I opened Outlook, I got the following message:

The file c:\documents and settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst could not be found

I have all my Outlook data on my Palm and want to synch it with Outlook. Is
there something I can do to correct this situation?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

You received very poor and ill informed advice
If your deleted pst resides in the recycle bin try restoring it first,
otherwise;
Use the mail applet in the control panel to edit your Profile, add a new
data file, set it as default and remove any reference to the old data file.
Test outlook thoroughly before attempting to sync, and if your Palm device
has any backup option, use it prior to synching

Hi,Deen:
You can try a popular Outlook recovery tool called Advanced Outlook
Repair to repair your PST file. It is a powerful tool to recover
messages, folders and other objects from corrupt or damaged Microsoft
Outlook PST files.

Detailed information about Advanced Outlook Repair can be found at
http://www.datanumen.com/aor/

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/aor.exe
Good luck!
