Outlook quit checking for new mail

After installing a recent microsoft critical patch my
outlook 2002 quit automatically checking for new mail
upon opening the program and also at regular intervals.
Both options are still checked.

Marion,
I had a similar problem, but I found after I rebooted that
the problem stopped happening. You probably have already
tried that though. If not, give that a try.

oh yes its been rebooted many times, both warm and cold,
since this started happening.
