Outlook Web Access gets a gray screen

Me: I haven't used or administered outlook web access so I'm a bit
clueless and since the service is provided remotely, I can't even look
at logs.

Problem: The user has made some selection and is getting a gray
screen. The inbox, calender, etc icons get displayed, the inbox and
its contents are displayed, then the entire screen is changed to
dialog box gray. No options, no buttons. Hitting back on IE shows the
log in screen. I "view source" and there are references to calendar
and a few other items. It looks like a frame has been made full screen
and there's no way to return it to its original settings.

Troubleshooting: I had her log in on another machine where she
successfully read her mail and I logged in on her machine and also
successfully read my e-mail. I deleted her internet files and cookies
and well as clearing her history. She had a bunch of spyware on her
machine that we cleaned off with ad-aware.

I have searched the Knowledgebase and used google to search usenet but
nothing has come up. I will continue to refine my search to see if I
can find the problem.

One additional troubleshooting problem. The system is configured as
Greek and the user isn't very technical. I have her interpreting the
menu items in an effort to figure out the problem. My not being
familiar with the menu options in IE doesn't help. It also makes it
hard to search/edit the registry if there's some selection that can
only be fixed in the registry.

Any other ideas? I'm tempted to make backups of her data, delete the
account from the system and add her back in. E-mail answers would be
best knowing how long postings can become available, however I will
continue to monitor this group.

Thanks for any help.

Carl
