Pasting shows as red dots. Not as text

In copying text from MS Word XP to MS Outlook XP, the
pasting of the text shows up in the Outlook message as
red dots ............ Similar to what the grammar
checking underlining would be.

However, when I paste in a new MS Word document, the text
pastes as it should.

I have looked in the Help files and cannot find any
reference to this.

Think it could be some kind of security?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

You are so right !! WOW, I could not believe it could be
so simple.

I have no clue how the white was chosen...
