Percent complete

I have 10 sub-tasks that are marked 100% each. The summary task for these
sub-tasks only show 99% complete. Why would this occur?

As one of the tasks of the summary task, do you have a milestone task that
is not marked as 100% complete? Let us know.

atheil,
Are there any milestones? If so, they also must be 100% complete. How
about % Work Complete, is that also at 100% for all subtasks?

No. Every task is marked 100% complete.

Each task for the summary task is marked 100% complete. We are not using %
work complete.

atheil,
Well, just because you are not using a particular field doesn't mean it
is out of the picture. Do you have resources assigned to your tasks? If
so, then % Work Complete is relevant. Insert that field as a column and
see what value is listed for each subtask.

John,

I inserted the column %work complete--that for each sub-task related to this
particular summary task is marked at 100%. For the summary task %work
complete, it has calculated 98% and for %complete, it has calculated 99%. I'm
really confused now!

Thank you.

atheil,
Well, this can't be that difficult but I'm out of quick answers. Unless
someone else chimes in with a solution, I'd like to take a look at your
file. You can send it to me at the address below.

John--I would be happy to send you the file. How do I go about doing that?
Aimee

Aimee,
Just zip it and e-mail to the address I gave (not the address in my
header).
