Picture does not display in document, it prints and is in manager

My document has pictures in it, I can see them in manager and they print.
However, they do not display on the screen in the document itself. I have
other documents and the pictures display. Can't figure out why sometimes
they do and sometimes they don't.

Did you actually update the driver, or just change the hardware
acceleration?

Note the bit in bold: Important: Changing the hardware acceleration does
not solve the problem. It is merely a method by which you can see that
the problem lies with the video driver.
