Picture wont display in my WORD document

[Graphic issue]

I scanned a picture from a book, and need to insert it into my WORD document.
When i select the picture to insert it, everything goes fine from there, but
the picture does not display in the document. There is a box there but
nothing is shown. How do I get the inserted picture to show up in my WORD
document?

On the View tab of Tools | Options, make sure "Picture placeholders" is not
checked.

Rpower26 gave me a really good answer to the problem. Check out the thread
above titled " I really can't get pictures to display in word".

It has something to do with the hardware accelarator which you access by
right clicking on the desktop, selecting properties, clicking settings, click
on advanced, click on troubleshoot then move the hardware accelartor to none,
click on apply and then on ok.

It worked for me and I am very happy.

You would have had a solution a lot faster if you had searched the NG first;
this solution has been presented at least once a day for the past umpteen
weeks.
