Pictures in Tables

When a picture is inserted in a table. The picture cannot
be selected to format the box says format table. Anyone
know how to get over this ????

If you're talking about the Table Properties dialog, this can still be
selected from the Table menu. Word has dozens of different shortcut or
context menus. Some are for plain text, some for headings, some for table
text, some for table rows, etc. There are different shortcut menus for
graphics, which is why the shortcut menu does not show Table Properties
(which would not be relevant in the context of most selected graphics).
