Hi everyone!
I need some help on figuring out how Pivot tables are
actually stored inside an Access database. For example, I
have created a pivot query, and then I created a form
based on that where the button opens Excel and shows the
data. No problem.
However, I am constantly getting an "Object is locked,
saves will be discarded" window when I close Excel.
However, I am able to save some formatting, but not other
formatting. In addition, I am able to save a macro in one
pivot table in this database, but not another.
So, how does all this work?! That is, what objects are
actually being created when I create the pivot table form,
and why might I be able to save a module in one pivot
table but not another -- I see that both pivot tables have
the same name (they are different versions of the data).
Just some pointers in the right direction would be great --
I am finding no explanation of how this is put together
from any source.
Much thanks!
Pamela
