There's something awfully familiar about your tone of voice. And
please be kind about the blonde comments - I've been accused of being
one and my mom really is one. ;-)

Yeah, she's done a Dr. Who again )

If you are running Microsoft Office on your Windows 98 computer and need to
find out where your templates are stored, they are normally stored:

C:\Windows folder\Profiles\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

You can also search your system for the template file extensions:

Microsoft Excel Workbooks (.xls)
Microsoft Excel Templates (.xlt)
Microsoft Excel Scraps
Microsoft Excel 4.0 Worksheets (.xls)
Files Saved in Microsoft Excel 5.0, 7.0, or 97 as 4.0 Workbooks (*.xlw)
SYLK (Symbolic Link) (.slk)
Microsoft Word Documents (.doc)
Microsoft Word Templates (.dot)
Microsoft Word Scraps
Rich-text Format (.rtf)
Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations, version 97, 7.0 and 4.0 only (.ppt)
Microsoft PowerPoint Templates (.pot)
Microsoft PowerPoint Scraps
Microsoft Publisher (..pub)

So if you were looking for your Microsoft Excel templates, you would search
your system (Go to Start > Find) and do a search for *.xlt
