Poor printing quality--printer is OK

I’m having problem with my print out from Publisher. For weeks I thought it
was a printer issue. The printing quality is so poor that even maximum DPI
does not produce an acceptable result.
Now I printed out the same clipart from Word and Publisher and Word’s
clipart printed out just fine.
I also had a problem with unstable fonts--which I had a separate thread—they
were unstable in Publisher but not in Word.

Are these two problems are relating? What can I do? Are there anyone who
had/has the same problem?
Thank you.

Sounds like damaged or outdated drivers to me.

Are your printer and video drivers the most recent
available from the websites of the mfgs?

Maybe the following articles will offer some ideas:

Thanks John,
I checked accordingly the website you suggested; however I did not learn
more about my problem.
It prints OK in Word, Notepad, Excell,--in the less demending
programs--printer-wise. Does not do the same quality job in Publisher. In
the past I had the same quality for every one of my programs.

Anybody has a suggestion what to do? I appriciate your help.
Would it be still possible that it is the printer's problem eventhough it
printes ok in other programs?

Did you try updating your printer drivers? Publisher can be very picky about
things like that.
