pop up,, configuring " word or excel" when starting..

Office 2000 Pro,,, whenever I start word or excel a
little screen pops up that says its configuring " word "
and it takes about 4-8 seconds for that program to start.
Only happens with WORD and EXCEL..... ???

I've seen this happen when Office is installed on an XP Professional / Win
2000 machine when a user uses the software for the first time. It appears
that certain registry entries / files need to be set up in the user's
profile. In your case, I wonder if there is anything preventing the proper
saving of these settings?
