Possible to insert an Adobe pdf file to Publisher application?

I create a monthly newsletter for a non-profit organization using Publisher.
They have ads they want me to have inserted that are pdf files, and I can not
figure out how to insert them. All I get is an Adobe symbol, not the actual
file. Is this even possible? How??

I just ran into the same issue. If you have Acrobat, yes. (I used to have
Acrobat and could.) If not, I've used SnagIt to create a .png file of the
..pdf file. I've gotten real nice results that way. You can try a regular
screenshot and crop that to suit.

(Even if you tell people you want ads as a .jpgs, .png, or even .gif, you
will still get .pdf, Word docs, and paper business cards. <sigh>)

You can insert a PDF if you use the Office 2007 add-in as well as Acrobat.
Insert, Object, Adobe Acrobat Document. The resolution isn't too bad.

You should be able to open the PDF in the Reader and *copy file to clipboard*
then paste to Publisher, at least I can. It will be an image. You also can
highlight the text in the PDF, copy/paste.

I have tried this and the resolution is pretty horrible in my files. I have
a 70 page (all text) pdf file generated by an access database (print set to
High Quality Print), and i insert these pages into my 120 page publisher
file. The text looks pixilated and the background is a little bit gray. I
have full CS3 so is there something I can do to improve the quality?
