PowerPoint 2003 and linked Excel 2003 charts

Bradly

I have a PowerPoint 2003 presentation with linked Excel 2003 charts on the
slides. I do a monthly presentation of data. For example, I have a linked
chart with 12 columns representing each month in our fiscal year. I have
linked the slide to a document so that when each month begins, I go into the
document and update with the previous month's data.

I have been asked to have the slide to where only the current months are
showing (not the month columns that haven't happened yet). Is there an easy
way to update the cell range of the data source to get rid of the unwanted
columns, or do I have to delete the current chart and re-paste the chart and
link?
