Powerpoint 2003 Issues - lost slides

I just got a new computer with Office 2003. I have been opening files
created in Office 2000 and many of my slides the graphics or pictures that
were on the 2000 version are totally gone in 2003. Is there a way of
correcting this without having to recreate all my files? Can't afford to
lose all these files.

should repost in a Windows or Powerpoint NG.
