powerpoint has disappeared!

Hi, be gentle, first post and not very computer literate! After a problem
with downloading flash (youtube videos stopped working) microsoft office, in
particular powerpoint, has disappeared from all my programmes. I have tried
to find it, but to no avail.Where has it gone!not in "all programmes" not in
recycle bin, not in "set programme access and defaults"
Any help appreciated

Although you fail to specify the terminology in your post indicate that
you're using a PC - this is the Mac PPt group... It's easy to get

Are you on Mac or Windows? You've posted your message in the Mac PowerPoint
group but it certainly *sounds* like you have a Windows PC.

If Windows, open My Computer, look for Program Files on your C: drive.
In Program Files, open Microsoft Office.
In Microsoft Office, open Office 11 (if you're using Office 2003, Office 12 if
2007 and so on).
There, find Powerpnt.exe
Doubleclick it to start PowerPoint.
In PPT, choose Help, Detect and Repair (or words to that effect).
When that completes, your shortcuts and so on should be repaired.
