Powerpoint won't save changes...

goblynn93

I created a slide and made a text box. Call it Box 1. Set Box 1 text color to
white, resize for 1/2 the page, and enter the text. Text is white.

Copy/paste Box 1 to make Box 2 and do the same thing with the size... now
Box 1 and 2 are taking up 1/2 the slide each, each with its own list of text
in it... both white text...

Save.

Close.

Open.

And EVERY single time, no matter what I do, no matter how many times I save,
re-save, save as another file name... it doesn't matter... slide loads up..
and Box 1 is black text.

What the he|| is going on here? Why isn't powerpoint saving my changes, or
at the very least keeping things the way they were built???

Having same issue on another slide a single text box and text on that page
is black after save/open no matter what I set it to before I close and save...

Any ideas? Please help this is driving me friggen nuts!

thanks to anyone with any ideas!

I cant make this happen on my setup so its hard to answer. There have been
several items here re placeholder text reseting to follow master colour on
save open. Is your first text box a placeholder or just a straight forward
text box? Try with the layout "title only" and insert two text boxes from the
draw menu and size with format text box , see if that works.

Re the other post I found that Office XP SP3 completely solved my
transparencey problems in office XP. I'd be interested if you definitely have
SP3 and problems as I sell many presentations with transparent pngs and need
to know if telling clients to get sp3 doesnt work (no complaints yet!)
