I have XP and Office 2000 Standard. Since several weeks
now, when I start Powerpoint, PPT won't start through,
but shows a blanc screen. What's wrong?

Do you mean that PPT opens, but all you see is toolbars and no blank slide?
If so, try File/New or File/Open.
