PP crashed when I insert a picture from a file.

Powerpoint crashes when I try to insert a picture from a file. I do not have
access to any local harddrives ie C, D and so on, only network drives.

I have no problem when inserting a picture in Word.

Hi,

For PowerPoint 2003, have you applied updates? Got to he Help Menu and
select Check for Updates while connected to the internet. Also, if yo are on
a network, make sure you install a local printer. PowerPoint will look for
it.

I can't update due to privileges. A user with administror privileges doesn't
get the error. The current version is 11.6361.6360. I have a networked
printer installed

Do you get a specific error message?

If it's permissions-related, I'd be calling the IT staff, though.
